Plasti Dip Fun

I did the back panel of my 1997 spx and after 1 month of riding (10 rides approx) there were areas where it peeled off. Plus if you rub on it with any part of your body, boots, or wetsuit it will come off after awhile. I wont be doing anymore plasti dip on my ski but thats just my 2 cents. It looks nice for a little while...Im also no newb with it, ive used it on many many things including wheels like you, and have had good luck on other things but for a ski i will definetly just do paint next time if anything..

my Dodge has some oxidation forming on the hood right in the middle, I might consider this stuff as some kind of stripe down the middle maybe in black before I sell the beast.... I assume this can be done in a section... I had been thinking that I could buy a vinyl stripe for the middle as well.

Ya you can do sections just be sure to pull the tape off before the plasti dip sets up or it will rip up the edges up with it

Hmmm, so maybe like the hood on my XP, but you are right, you are a little more rough on a ski hull than car wheels...

I have plasti dip rims on my car. Good stuff and if I get tired of the gold, I can just peel it off. I can see how it would not hold up on a ski though.

Ya wheels are better suited for plasti dip IMO but ya the ski hood would probably be fine as your not really rubbing up or touching that while riding

Used the stuff on my thumb throttle. Looked good but didn't last to that abuse :P
