Pee Hole on 03 Sportster LE

I just noticed today that my Sportster does not have a pee hole to indicate that water is circulating in the cooling system. WTF? I have the hook on the back of the stern where the pee hole normally is, but mine is solid...no hole.

How am I supposed to tell at a glance if water is circulating?

Add one. Dr Honda has them in chrome or anodized colors. There is an entire thread on adding them. I'll see if I can find it and post the link.

Here's the thread my brother Jake was talking about, it was originally for a PWC but there's no reason you couldn't do it to a boat also, it's just going to take a little more hose. You can order the hardware from Dr Honda's website.

Are you sure the hole is not hidden under the hook? Mine is and pees from under the hook where there is a gap.

Lo and behold you are correct stevgo! There is a bit of a lip, and using a mirror, I was able to see 2 pee holes under there. Now what possible good does that do? How am I supposed to see it from the drivers seat when underway?

Bigtexan - that's the whole point of Dr Honda "new pee outlet" Install it on the side so it can be seen more easily. 10 bucks...pretty cheap.

Okay...will do. There are 2 holes back there....and it looks like 2 hoses coming off the engine. Do I need to order 2 of the Dr. Honda outlets, or is one all i need?

just one is all u need, but pm dr honda, (private message) , question him about it, ok ??? what he has is real nice and im sure he has all the specs and knows exactly what u need by application

Here's what I would do, take a look at the attached drawing, the hose coming out of the top of the manifold, marked with part no. 37, re-route that hose to the new tell-tale that you are installing. Just leave the other one connected the way it is, I think its just to drain the excess water from the manifold. So you will only need one tell-tale, that's the politically correct term for pisser.
