Came to me looking fairly clean. Saltwater use. I don't have time/funds for yet another, so to parts it goes. Friend found it for me, from his grandparents garage. Hasn't been run in years. Oil filled hull.

I plan to do that shortly. I had to replace the accelerator pump fuel line on my 02 XP last night and water test it (works great)!

So, tonight will be more dis-assembly. then will come the photos.

Make me an offer on the parts, then I will pull that part first.

Do you need the stator? the MPEM in the '96 is that whole grey box? that box is HUGE.

The items are going on eBay, but here are some pics if it lets me upload them... ok, it's not letting me upload them... error, but nothing specific... i'll try re-sizing.

I believe I promised someone the VTS, so I won't list that on eBay until they get back to me.

I did test the VTS last night, I wired 12v right to the motor, and it moved in/out, then I swapped the leads, and it moved fine in the opposite direction. The rubber surround will not be included because it's worn out and I don't trust it. but the VTS motor works, and I don't see why the rest wouldn't. I was able to get the nut off with a huge crescent wrench.

Nope, still doesn't let me upload!? File Size is only 130 KB.

Right now the engine is in ONE piece, including the RAVEs and oil pump, magneto, PTO, and rear support brace. Should I take it apart or does anyone want this thing whole?

Someone said they wanted the ignition box. It appears ok, but there is some rust on the inside of the box.

make me an offer on the engine, or tell me what parts you need off it. Shipping the whole thing won't be cheap, it's not exactly 10 lbs...

the engine turns over easily, but was FULL of oil, I'm guessing the normal valve gasket leak I've read about (I'm more of a 951 person, don't know much about the 800s).

I'm not usually one to part out something, but we can't save them all...

We went on the demo ride last year. We rode a 210 wake and a 130 Gti. i wanted to try the 260 but the line was long and had something else to do. There is no speed limit, unless there is one on that lake (which i doubt will happen for a demo ride event). The new braking system is pretty neat.
