P0524 Code

Changed the oil and filter in the ski and it went right into limp mode and can't get the engine light and limp mode to clear out. Any ideas on that. Oil pressure and level are good.

probably a low oil pressure sensor. I would disconnect the battery for 30 minutes to see if the code clears. you could also clear the code at dealer. did you follow the oil change procedure?

Thank you for the post. We disconnected the battery for an entire 24 hour period and the code stayed. After further reading, the computer holds onto the code even when there is no battery backup. We are trying to avoid the dealer, but may be what we have to do.

disconnecting the battery won't do anything. P0524 is low oil pressure and happens sometimes after oil changes. To fix, make sure oil level and filter are good(not crushed and not leaking at seal) and put it in the water(preferred) or on the hose. Get it rev as high as you can in limp mode for 30 seconds continuously and then shut it off(it may go off while revving it so be careful). put the key back on and the code should be gone and out of limp mode. the code will no longer be active and will only show as a previous occurrence.
