Hello to all, this is my first list on any forums so I hope my protocol is correct. My ski had a fault code come up eg P0505. What does it mean, where can a get a detailed description of its meaning and what do I need to do to rectify this, thanks in advance.

Code

Hi Godzilla,
Code P0505 in the shop manual refers to the idle by-pass valve that is mounted on throttle body. This valve is what the computer uses to control idle speed. I strongly suggest that you become a premium member if you are going to attempt to do your own repairs. That way you'll be able to access the service manual.

godzilla, welcome to the forum, we are glad your here. Your protocol is fine. Just jump in and ask if you ever have any problems or questions. This forum is very friendly place, and members are always eager to lend some healthy advice. As far as your code P0505, Dennis is correct that if you decide to do your own repairs that you might want to become a premium member. The seadoo forum has authentic seadoo manuals in the library of manuals. As a premium member you have access to any and all manuals available. The manuals cover everything from wire diagrams, trouble codes, parts breakdowns with pictures and torque specs. It shows you the correct procedures for repairs . It is better to have a manual on hand to either read on line as a pdf file, or print it off for you own personal and privet use, when you need it. Click on the "seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any more help or have any more questions feel free to give us a shout.

Premium service!

For a small fraction of cost, you'll get a lot in return. If your trying to work on this idle by-pass fault and get stuck in the interpretation, there will always be someone in the forum to give you a helping hand!......
Again, welcome to the forum...

Welcome godzilla, great name surprised no one else had taken it.
