and I had the check engine flashing
P-0231 any ideas?
what did I miss hooking up?

Fuel pump shorted to ground

Damaged connectors, wires or ecm output pins

is the ecu on the motor?

Code just tells which circuit. Not the actual cause/issue.

It could be either end. Disconnect the wires and check for resistance. If they are good, then it gets a bit more tricky.

Testing the pump and then the ECM/MOEM is next.

I see why now, I had to ground the pump through a switch I cant find the bad ground,
just have to flip the switch when not in use,
