Oil tank vent question

Hi all!

I am in the process of replacing the gray fuel lines on my 96 SPX. I noticed this on the top of the oil tank:

To me that looks like there should be a line there but, obviously, there isn't. The only line anywhere near by is this one:

But isn't that the vent line for the battery? If someone could shed a little light on this for me I would appreciate it!

The oil tank vent valve attaches to nothing. If you have a sealed battery you won't need the battery vent line.
