Hi, first time user. Could anybody help me , guide me on hoe to check if the oil is mixing properly with the gas on my '95 seadoo xp ? I just rebuild the topend on one of them. It started right up but I didn't want to run it too long without beeing sure the oil is mixing properly. Thanks

That is a hard question to answer, since your oxygen levels in the atmosphere are different on Jupiter than they are here on Earth. So you may need more or less oil to keep the oil-fuel-air ratio correct.

Sorry...had to do that...

I can try, but my experience is only with 787 engines in 96 XP and 97 Challenger. I do have the books though, so here is what they say and it sounds a lot like the ones I have done...

Run a pressure check on the system. Pressurize to ONLY 3 psi and make sure it holds that pressure for at least 10 minutes.

With just slight pressure on the throttle, to take up any slack in the throttle cable, there are marks on the oil pump on the front of the engine that should be alligned. If not, adjust the screw until they are.

If you have any air in the line, you may need to bleed the oiling system.

There is also a way to bench-test the pump, but it would need to be removed from the engine to do this.

If I were you, I would run an 60:- or 80:1 oil mixture premixed into the first tank or two of your fuel, and make sure that the oil level in the oil reservoir is dropping with use.

That chill out thing is part of my signature, and appears in every post I make, not just to you.

There were a couple times when people got a little bent out of shape thinking I was being serious when I was joking around.

In your case, I was hoping that you didn't really think I thought you were from another planet...:reddevil:

But you never know. Sometimes I wish I was...:hat:

Scott how have you been doing and what have you been smoking? LOL:rofl:

Well, this week, I have been smoking the cool crisp air from Seattle and the islands surrounding it. I am typing this from Orcas Island. Spent the day hiking near Deception Pass, and spent the past couple days near Seattle and Pike's market.

So, with all the hippies around here, no telling WHAT i have been inhaling....:reddevil:

in Jupiter or earth last i checked this was the jet boat section and i don't remember a xp boat .... just saying :hurray:
