Does anyone have a good place to buy oil lines?
Is it 1/16 inside diameter?

I did a search on the forum. Can't find a thread with the size or source for a 717 oil line.
Can the size be increased?

3/32 inside diameter, and can get it at any good big lawnmower repair facility, usually like 1.50 ft -- this is for the oil lines going from oil pump to the nozzles

Local hardware stores, like ace. Ask for weed whacker fuel line. Take your existing to match. I used to know the sizes on the 951.

Or take the parts the oil lines go to and match the fit.

I buy it 20' at a time. I keep 3 different sizes in the shop.... but the Seadoo Rotax oil lines are 3/32". The Seadoo Merc engines use a mix of 3/32" and 1/8".

Pretty yellow hoses.

Gotta love the yellow.

Spent an afternoon driving around in my area no body had the tygon tubing, had to order from McMaster Carr.

went with the same 3/32 tygon on mine, 3/8 clear with braided reinforcement cooling large cooling line (even though 7/16 would have fit better) and 1/4" fast flow green fuel lines and same for the stinger water lines.20120912_220017.jpg

I like to use clear lines for the oil feed as its easier to see if their are air bubbles versus yellow, blue, etc.

I think as long as they are mostly transparent we are good.

If you use solid black oil lines... your gonna have a bad time...! lol

The Yellow were are using is "Tygon" hose. It's petroleum/chem safe. Most other clear lines are a regular vinyl compound, and they don't live long with oil in them.

I used clear lines from Ace that were labeled "fuel lines" I hope that's ok now...

Yep... that should be fine. The problem is, when guys buy clear vinyl hose (for water) and then use them for fuel/oil. (because it looks like what they took off)

ok trid a bunch of places . local shops either didnt carry it or want to sell it. ended up going to home depot. got two power care fuel line kits which has one fooot of 3/32. any luck it will br long enough.

I have not actually measured the length but I'm pretty sure that 1' is going to be too short. I would take the fuel line kits back and order from McMaster-Carr, get about 4'.

Added: I'm assuming this is for a 787, a 717 requires a lot less, the kits you bought a Home Depot would be enough for a 717.

Thanks Lou
1 foot was perfect. 1 line was 5'' and the other was 7''. So I have an extra foot to do one of the other skis with.
Got to love extra parts! Lol

It is a 717.
