ok last winter I changed an oil injection line on my 1994 gtx,I'v made several attempts to get the line to fill complety full of oil by holding up on the pump control lever while ideling. It's sending oil through in incriments but will not fill the line completly full, only half way.Is this ok or am I doing something wrong also the oil tank is only a quater full if it has any thing to do with it
thanks in advance
Scott

If you hold the pump arm open... does the oil pump into the hose, but then leaves an air bubble after you shut off the engine? If that's the case, it may be OK, but I would remove the check valve, and check it.

Sometimes... depending on how the hose is routed... the oil can drain into the engine... leaving a bubble.

If the oil stops pumping... and just isn't filling the hose... then you have an air leak, or the pump went bad.

sometimes oil will stay up higher in the hose with air pockets and the next time it will level out around half full or a little more it all depends. Also I made the new oil hose a little longer than the stock one if that would any differance?
