Oil Filter Cap Removal ???

My first PWC and I may have a dumb question here, but I’ve searched/browsed for two hours with zero results….

I’m clueless if I’m turning in the right direction or wrong direction. I may just be scared to shear it if I’m going in the wrong direction.

If I’m standing PORT SIDE, is it the general rule of thumb “righty tighty, lefty loosey” or should I be on the STARBOARD SIDE for that rule? Just trying to figure out which way is the correct way as I obviously don’t want to tighten it anymore. Thank you all!

Make sure you're using the correct socket size. But, the oil filter bolt can get verrrry stubborn to remove. If you do get it off, be sure not to over tighten it when reinstalling.
