Hey guys, getting ready to do my first jet pump oil change on a 95 gtx and a 96 spx. I noticed on the couple you tube videos that silicone grease is common for lubing all o-rings. I planned on ordering the jet pump oil change kits from OSD parts that also include loctite 518 "for the lubrication of o-rings AND the mating surface of the cone to assembly." Seems a bit different than silicone grease?!?
Uhhh, what to use? AND I'm not sure I remember anyone in the videos using a liquid gasket to put cone back on?

If you do it like the factory says and the way I do it, you use the 518. It is a sealant used on the pump cone, not lube.
YouTube has a lot of videos but few are "experts".

Sorry, a little confused... do I apply this to both small o rings, large o ring AND mating surface of the cone?

It goes on the cone o-ring, the small o-rings on the venturi nozzle and the joint between the venturi nozzle and pump housing.
