how much do you guys think a mint 1993 Kawasaki Sx 550 is worth? guy is asking $1350...im thinking about getting a stand up.

half what he is asking, look elsewhere. i've been looking myself for a kawi stand up too. you could probably get a 650 sx for 1000.00

650sx are going to be worth less sine there the older style..the 550sx came out in 91' and are a newer a engine design and underwater exhaust

?? the 650 sx was put into the newer hull style and was offered at the same time. the 550 sx came out in 90'.

i mean the engine design and exhaust system along with a reed block induction system..yes the 550sx hull is the old design but the engine and everything is newer then the 650. I herd that the side exhaust is loud and smelly on th 650s :/

yes, I suppose. personally I would want a modded 650 sx in the newer hull over the 550 reed motor, but that's just my opinion. Again, maybe 800 if it's mint and decals are mint. is it stock, post some pics.

The SX550 is based off the OLD, poor handling hull. Basically, on the SX, they changed the upper deck so the pads were moled into the body... opposed to just being glued on top. (purely cosmetic)

I wouldn't pay more than $1000 for it. And that's assuming it's clean, runs well... and is on a small trailer.

The old hull isn't easy to ride, and even after you get good... you won't be throwing aggressive turns.

As above... keep looking, or wait... because he won't sell it for that price.

Personally... go look for a square nose superjet. They handle SO much better.

This is what I got a couple years ago, for $600. It needed nothing, and runs like a champ.

I just looked at that post you had. Honestly... they are worth $1300 for the pair. There are just too many other skis, that handle well to be asking that kind of money for them.

as im reading it seems superjets handle better and they are worth more. The guy is stiff on $1300 so im just going to hold off.

bought that superjet..$400 bucks and it just needs 4 motor mounts and a carrier bearing

you guys suck, only kawis down here and they rarely go for under 1000. if and when a superjet comes up for sale its 2000-2500 min.

yea i orderd the carrier bearing and new gaskets..im looking at about $300 to git'r'goin since it might near a wear ring and a choke cable
