No start loud toc sound

1996 sportster has been parked for 2 years, first start loud toc sound from starter but wont turn over, battery is new, if i remove the spark plugs, the starter turn fine. Any ideas?

The engine spins if you take the plugs out?


If it does, then check all the cable connections to make sure they are clean and tight. If they are, the stater needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
