No SC SPOOLING?

The fellows at pwc m. rebuilt my sc over the winter on a 2008 215 rxp. I tested several weeks ago and performance seemed to be what it was. I still hit the 70 mph indicted and acceleration felt strong.( so the sc has got to be working ) The curious thing is that I no longer hear the whine of the sc spooling up. I tested again and sure enough the thing sounds different. I can't detect the whine of spooling like I did before. I checked with the rebuild shop and they had no idea. Putting it back together seemed like it was hard to mess anything up but then again.....any ideas?

It may not have been SC spooling you heard. It could have been a bearing that was gone. Now that there is good fresh parts in the SC it won't make a noise
