The problem with my 1990 seadoo SP is that, while the engine is seemingly running at a perfectly normal idle speed and will perform perfectly well after warmed up for a sufficient amount of time, the last time that it was in use, suddenly it ceased any propulsion. the engine still runs fine, however, there is no idle propulsion, and whenever the throttle is opened, there is no further propulsion either, the RPM's merely race higher than normal, and the seadoo remains where it is. i have checked the water intakes, there is no clogs, i have done a precursory visual inspection of the impeller housing and the impeller blade, there appears to be no clogging elements, such as seaweed or zebra muscles. i'm wondering whether it might be a completely snapped driveshaft, or possible the splines on one, or even both, sides of the drive shaft have been completely smoothed down to the point there is nothing for it to grab the engine or the jet body with. or could it be a problem with internal parts of the jet body where it cannot be turned. any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated, because the manuals don't have any troubleshooting ideas for lack of power transfer.
