New here. I have a 2003 sportster LE 947 dual carb. When wot the rpm’s used to get up to 7,000 but started to stop at 6000. Once in a while with wot it would suddenly jump to 7000. Now not at all. Recently replaced the engine side throttle cable. ( oil cable, carb cable and 3 wire harness). Was told the 3 wire harness was to advance the timing when throttle was over 80%. With master switch off I used an ohm meter to test the throttle cable connection (white, black, purple wires) for continuity with throttle closed and throttle wide open. All tests reported no continuity while testing all possible wire pairing. Not sure how this part of the cable works or if I should’ve had continuity or not. Any ideas?
