No beep no start but gauges do work 2005gti

Hope someone could help me out with this. Battery is all good and the ski gauges all turn on and show properly when the key is put on but no crank. It started literally 30min before but I did notice that it took a little longer for the beeps to start going when I put the key on that time also. TIA

Check for charging
