I have a 1997 GTX that runs fine but I don't always get the double beep when plugging the DES Lanyard in. I usally hear a faint single beep, more of a click sound. Today, for no reason at all the ski gave me 2 audible beeps when I plugged the lanyard in. It did it for me twice and then stopped making an audible beep? Really weird. Wondering if I have an intermitant connection to the buzzer or if the MPEM is failing to send the signal to the buzzer. Also, my speedometer finally quit working. No signal to analog or digital display for speed. Thinking I have a poor connection in the harness or just a failed sender. It was intermittant before.

you can replace the buzzer and you will get the beeps all the time. Good idea to have because if it overheats you wont know till it's to late.

I replaced the alarm beeper with a good used one for now, beeps twice, nice and loud, when the lanyard is plugged in! Now if I can fix the speedo problem everything will be functioning again.
