Nick fix (color code question)

So I gave bombardier a call today to see whom they would recommend for a nick in the top side of my footwell. Needless to say, the gent I spoke to was awesome and very helpful! Only problem when I called who he suggested (Spectrum) they weren't able to match my ski's color... So I've gotta ask, does anyone know what the paint code that a 1998 gsx limited is? It's a light gray (with metallics) on the top she'll and red on the bottom. (This ski also has the purple accents of bumper guard and rear grab handle). And if I got the patch kit, could I use it to seal the holes left by taking the rivets out when I redo the original mats or would I need to use marine epoxy? Yes, it still has the original mats, curled now, but I'm looking to replace those. So any suggestions? (I hear hydro mats or black tip are pretty good)

So in short: 1998 gsx limited, top gray paint code color patch kit (can anyone point me to a code or a kit that'll work)? And will it do to use the kit to fill the holes for the mats?

I really do appreciate you guys if ya read this obnoxiously long post and thanks in advance for replies.

I bought from a company that matched my ski. Can't think of the name off hand. I'll search my email and try to find it,,?

Unfortunately I have nothing productive to add to this thread, however I'm interested in this information as well. I have a 1997.5 GSXL also (They are titled as 1998's, 'unofficially' known as a 1997.5) that I am looking to restore in the next couple of years might need some gel coat as well. If you end up finding somewhere to match and purchase the silver metallic gel coat, please let us know.

I'll definitely let you know! I had searched here before posting so at least I'll be able to contribute lol

If you are talking about gelcoat, have you checked Gelkote International? They have everything, pretty much.

That's who I've searched with... unfortunately, they don't have any color examples lol

If you can remember, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one grateful for another option!

Alrighty, so I've called BRP up, and when I asked the gentleman about the colors, he wasn't able to find the seashore metallic, or the pure magnesium but was able to find the Titanium Pearl (top hull/shell) and Viper Red (bottom hull/shell) for the 1998 GSX limited.

Color Codes:
Viper Red- B176
BASF-94820

Titanium Pearl- M526
BASF- 94224

BASF was included just in case it's needed. I figure there's never enough info just in case.

Just did some finger work and found from ColorRite that the Titanium Pearl looks to be a bit yellowish? from their depiction. So from Seadoo Source I found that the 1997 (mines believed to be the 1997.5) may be M519 Metallic Silver. When I checked ColorRite the color looks similar but I'm unsure. I wish GelCote Int would have some color swatches that someone could reference. I have a few friends in the autopainting business and I guess I'll have to ask them to mix me up the two or three different colors and I'll get back to you guys once more.

Be wary of the Titanium Pearl just in case until I reply back.
