Newbie in KY

Hello,

My name is Rich. I am a married 32 yr old firefighter. I am from Northern KY, about 15 minutes south of Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been wanting a jet boat for a while and have been watching them on ebay and craigslist for a while. I finally won one that I was bidding on yesterday. It is a 1998 Speedster with the twin 110 HP motors. It is in very good shape and I have to drive to PA to pick it up. I am new to jet boats and have no clue what I am getting into, so I am sure I will have tons of questions. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the seadoo forum Rich. This is a friendly place with lots of active members eager to help out. Be sure it runs if possible and maybe a test drive so you know it is a good deal. If your not to mechanically inclined it might be a little tricky to do any tests before you lay down your cash. If you are inclined I would do a Compression test and good over all look over of the engines. Be sure it starts up and the batteries are fairly new. Hopefully you can drive it in the water too. everything on the boat should be in working condition...Lights, blower, bilge pump ect... Well, I havent posted since I signed up. I read daily but havent chimed in yet. We make the drive from KY to PA friday to pick up the boat. I am very excited.I am sure I will be asking for help and post more once we get it. I am already planing a new audio system and have ordered 4 Kicker 6 1/2's and a new clarion head unit.
