So I have wrenched on cars and such my whole life, and for some reason have decided to try my hand at PWC. Got a great deal on a pair - 97 XP and 98 XP Limited. The 98 needed the bendix replaced (they thought it was a starter). Got it replaced, however, they had already taken out the exhaust and carbs to get to the starter. I have spent a few hours on line trying to find a picture of how the fuel lines actually go, and cannot seem to find what I need. The prev owner had done some "upgrades" to the machine like taking out the Oil Injection system- (I know, I have read enough posts to realize...)So I am not sure even if they are stock carbs. I think I have them figured out with the exception of one connection on the carb. I have attached pics, hoping someone is familiar or has one they can compare and tell me what I am missing. I am not sure of the hose in the second picture marked with a question mark. Is this maybe it? It was connected to the fitting at the back of the block, but that is no guarantee that is where it is supposed to go, lol.

The line on the top is the pulse line, goes to the Block, the line on the bottom is the main fuel in line

Whatever is sitting on the bottom of the ski with the blue question marks is not supposed to be down there.

I think he has the pulse line connected where the return line connects. And maybe the picture at the bottom is the connection for the "crossover line." I can't see it all very well.

First off, thanks for the help. So it looks like it is incorrect (no surprise there). For clarification (ask twice, lol)..
Label 1. This line looks like it should go to the carb @ label #2.. The second picture shows where it is connected.
If it does, what connects at label #3? I don’t see any lines that don’t have a home, so am I missing one?

I pulled the carbs to try and get better pics. I labeled with numbers where I think they would go. But what goes to the fitting on the second picture - marked with a question mark. On the block, below the carb, behind the starter..

You shouldn't need or be using an auxiliary pump. The one in eh carb is all you need and needs to be working correctly.

Also you better be replacing all those gray fuel lines.
