Hello all.... Just got into the PWC world at 44. Picked up a 1995 GTX that has the DESS upgrade when it was new. I am the third owner and the prior owner had it for 12 years. Dealer advises that there is just 100 hours according to the module... Runs great but does have a leaking RV gasket so it does smoke when first started. My kids are having a blast with me pulling them on a tube with it. I am going to pick up a set of ski's for me soon as well. Picked up a wealth of info from here so THANKYOU!!!!!

So far, I have...


Added the Jensen ms30 gauge stereo (mounted it under the reverse handle, needed a 3" hole) also added Pyle marine speakers and mounted those to the side (just above the hollow area where the fuel tank is)

Replaced all fuel lines with Gates fuel lines

Replaced the fuel selector valve

Replaced the fuel float

Replaced all zip ties and added many more to keep everything tight and tidy

Replaced spark plugs, caps and ignition coil

Replaced the fuel cap gasket

Removed the carb and cleaned the filters

Replaced the spedometer sending unit

Added an Aqua Step

Complete oil system flush as previous owner was using any old 2 cycle oil

Oil filter replaced

Replaced the handlebar grips

Added a Blacktip handlebar cover

Replaced the started relay solenoid

Welded new aluminum plugs to the tuned pipe and painted the entire exhaust

Installed a tach/hour meter

Installed a clock

Replaced every hose and line (oil/bilge,cooling, etc)
