I like it the colors are nice had a friend that had same ski but red I do recall that it hauled good to ''looks a little illegally parked:toetap05:''

Thanks guys.... Still learning about these 4tec engines, very different than my 2stroke. Supercharger has been rebuilt with paperwork but has close to 70hrs on rebuild. Ive heard of the valve issue on 04-06 models but even though mine is an 07 ive also read on this site that watercrafts are usually 1 model year behind meaning I might have an 06 motor. I guess ill have to pop the valvecover.

@SpimothyLeary Ive always wanted to do a Kissimmee river ride but gasmileage was the obvious issue with my 787. The RXP is way better on gas so I might have to join you guys on the next run.

I think I read somewhere that sea doo boats were 1 year model behind. You are probably ok. If you are concerned you can pop the valve cover and look at the markings on top of the valves. 72 - means hollow valves 75 - means solid valves

Yep...right here:

Boats, not skis are a year behind. That said, the potential valve issue was 03 to mid year 06. So late 06 up is safe.

I would too. lol.
And Spim is right. The K is a fantastic run. I drive three hours and it's well worth it.

not sure when I'll be heading out there yet, my weekends are a little crazy through the end of the year with family coming in/holiday's etc... there's a large (Huge) private ride coming up with about 40 ski's in a couple weeks but i'm not sure if my schedule will permit me making the trip over that particular weekend.

Also i'm still getting used to my RXT so right now i'm a little squeemish with the idea of hitting the twisties on a ski that i'm not yet fully comfortable with. Make no mistake its a technical ride and even if your an experienced rider you really need to be in sync with your ski before hitting the more challenging parts of the river.

Yip, its bonkers fun.

FWIW, I rode the K with my 96 and the 95xp800 multiple times, I would just run 20 miles of twisties, turn back, top off then ran them again. pretty scary on an x4 tho, riding behind several 4 stroke wakes added a level of danger that kept your blood pumping, I was always worried about catching a wake/wash wrong and sliding into the bank or hitting a turn to hard and getting tossed into the water with Mama gator, a bit terrifying to think about.

From a safety perspective a RXP is a much better choice, especially once you've had some seat time in it so your comfortable taking the hard turns at speed. I refuse to let noob's ride with me out there, too dangerous.

@Spimorhy Leary. You will really like the RXT on the K. I love mine. Sarah rides the GTX and loves it as well. They are both boats basically.

Ya ya I know, i've only been able to log about 6 hours on it to this point and i'm having a hell of a time adjusting to the size and the decreased manuaverabilty. The last 300 hours i've logged on ski's have all been on a 96xp/95xp800/GPr/R12x and all 4 of them were so dam nimble that now I feel like i'm driving a friggen boat around. It will take some time for me to get more comfortable so until I feel 100% comfortable i'm staying off the twisties.

The key is the throttle. Turn turn the wheel, give it some throttle, let a push the stern around. You can't "coast" on the twos ties with the RXT.

Way better on gas? I might challenge the "way better" comment....;)

you have a point about gas milage, I don't think they do much better than the 787 as far as MPG,but with a 16 gallon tank vs 9 the Range is significantly improved.

I think I get somewhere between 4.5 and 5.5 mpg (similar to the 787) depending on how hard I ride but the bigger tank leaves a lot more wiggle room.

I have to take back my gas mileage comment. Decided to top it off today and the gauge read about half tank and it still took 16 bucks!
Now I realize it is just a much bigger tank lol.

Stop whining. Half a tank in Canada would be about $35.:puke::)

If you are always WOT, the 4TEC's burn about the same amount as the 2 strokes, but you are usually going faster.

In light riding and cruising (which is by far most of the riding we do), I found I burn about half the amount of gas I did by switching over to the 4TEC's from 2 stroke skis. And in that situation, the SC models burn about the same amount as the NA skis.
