Hi,we just bought a old 1994 Seadoo SP for my kids. This is maintenance we have done so far..
I read that the fuel lines should changed if they are Gray colored. We put on all new ones and clamps. There was no sign whatsover in the old lines to us though that they were deterioting and leaving the crap behind in the filters and such as everyone says, filter was clean as was the fuel selector and tank.

We cleaned the fuel selector of course.

New Sparkplugs.

Cleaned the oil injection filter, the lines on them are very soft and pliable so we are not going to mess with them, they are in no way britlle and hard.

Pulled the little venturi off the impeller end and it was a little low on grease but was not all white though as if it was taking in water, drained it,cleaned it out real good and resealed and refilled..

Cleaned the fuel tank and refilled with fresh gas.

Ran compression test and have around 153lbs in each cylinder. No variance form one to the other to spaek of.

Cleaned the oil resevoir and refilled with Quicksilver PWC and bleed the lines and primed the pump.I hope anyway.

Greased two zerks on the driveshaft or whatever its called..

Checked the impeller clearance to the plastic ring and could not get any more than a 10 thousandths in between the impeller and the ring,Nothing seemed wore more in any particuliar spot.

We have a boat and am pretty familiar with them but new to jetskis,if you have any suggestions on anything we may have missed please let us know, would appreciate it greatly..I will include a pic if you care to see it..We only paid 75.00 for it but it did not come with a trailer unfortinitley..Still need a battery and put the steering back together when the steering cable support bracket gets here from a guy off Ebay...Also a couple small parts traded from a member here have to go on..

I know these are probably not a great machine but hopefully for the money it will be some fun for the kids, seems to run real nice but they are probably like boat motors and you really cannot tell till its in the water....Thanksski.JPG
