So im back into fixing up older skis again, picked up a nice 97 gsx with a locked up motor over the weekend, has 112 hours on it and looks pretty clean, tore down the motor to find the pto cylinder with exhaust side of the piston and cylinder have some scraping and need to be fixed/bored. After removing the top end which came off easy found the crank was stuck, tapped the crank a little with a piece of wood and it freed up and rotates perfect, but found a good amount of water at the bottom of the case, sucked it out and flushed out with seadoo lube 2 times. Sounds to me it hydro locked , other than changing oil in cb and new pistons and fixing back cylinder is there anything else that should be done? crank seams fine , its unfortunately a year or two old sbt motor if that helps any. Would sucking in enough water and trying to run on it junk the piston/cylinder? Also if anyone has any extra 787 cylinders/pistons let me know. thanks
