Well I ended up changing my starter over the weekend, and first trip out I was able to start both motors. I am getting that much closer to being able to adjust the carbs. I noticed the left motor idels at about 1500 and the right at about 2500, so I need to turn the idel down on the one. Both are extremely sluggish - to the point that they stall out when I throttle at all. I am hoping it is all adjustments. Here is the problem: When I stopped the motors in the middle of the water, I went to start them back up and it was like my battery was dead (just replaced also). I let it set for 15 minutes and was able to get one motor to start, but as soon as I hit the start button for the second motor - it died again. This went on for 2 hours, and then I was able to get one motor started enough to idle to shore.
Anyone have any ideas on this? I am getting really close to taking this to a shop because it is driving me crazy!
