New impeller no power

Boat ran once this year with some cavitation and new wear ring. Decided to spend money on new skat trak 14.5/22.5 impeller. Since I've put it on I cannot get the boat to get passed 5000rpm. New motor so power shouldn't be a problem. I am at 4,600 ft elevation. Is that the wrong pitch on the impeller. Gonna call impros and still do a compression test. Boat idles great. Starts right up but 5000 is all I get. Still have the old impeller. Maybe try to switch it out. Just 2 hours sways from nearest lake so not the easiest thing to problem solve beach front.
