pulled up to the beach yesterday and the RXP-X was clean and shiney

as I walk her through the first crowd to set my anchor, these girls come over and are amazed at the chrome on my ski and were oooh I can check my hair...

I didnt have a smooth come back so I set anchor and grabbed a cold one...

 to a good summer

Damn! I'm single and I never have that kind of luck.... my big jetboat only ever attracts other men wherever I go with it. Last Sunday at the lake, my RXT only drew the attention of the bloody game wardens (4 of them in one boat) who stopped me to do a safety/permits inspection.... Arghhh!!! :banghead:

I can't win around here. :(

Well....

Advantage: Bi-sexual girlfriend! No issues with it then. LOL!

Yeah I know, I'm dreaming I'm dreaming. (sigh!) :leaving:

What show? 4th of July fireworks?

Lake Livingston where I go boating usually has spectacular fireworks shows the night of 4th of July over the lake.... it's amazing, with the reflections on the lake surface and all! However it's sooooo dry here this year they may have cancelled all the fireworks shows. The wildfire danger is just so darned high here right now.... it's like everything outside is covered in gasoline, it takes practically nothing to light up the forests right now! :-(

Ahh! I'm deprived, I've never seen such a show in that case.

Sounds like ya'll are as dry as Texas. The only reason Lake Livingston is at 100% capacity is because it's water comes from the Dallas/Ft Worth watershed, and they got alot more rain up there this spring than we in the Houston area got. All other Houston area lakes are real low, like 70% or less of capacity... local rivers have turned into mere creeks! I have never seen anything like this before!

I've been laughing at the local news weather forcasters, assuring us that nothing tropical is developing in the Bay of Campeechee (sp?)... hell most of us would CELEBRATE if something tropical would develop down there and head this way! I'd be ok with anything up thru a Cat III hurricane at this point. LMAO!

we got about an inch this morning.. The TV guys were saying that might lift the burn ban, but I doubt it.

Not likely. It takes repeated rains over several days time to make a difference in the dryness level. Dead vegitation doesn't turn green again overnight.
