O.k. I have been on here a lot and received a lot of help but I am ready to get this ski in the water this season.. so I fueled it up, went to start and it just cranks... I have rebuilt the carbs adjusted them to the manual pop off pressures etc. all fuel lines and strainer filter have been replaced, pretty much everything on the ski is new except the actual boat..
If I put some fuel mix in the carbs I believe it will start, I believe when it hasn’t been run it give me issues starting? Last time I tried was over the winter so what are my steps where should I start? All help would be awesome thanks!

Did you use genuine mikuni carburetor rebuild kits? The cheap rebuild kits have been making everyone's engines flood causing them to not start

Yes I did! Before I rebuilt them I made sure I got the genuine parts. I ordered everything from sbt engine and all..

I have heard that sbt carb kits are junk. You need to get the genuine mikuni kits from mikuni. I had the same issue and got away with just buying the genuine mikuni diaphragm for about 15$ and it worked for me but that doesn't mean it'll always work. You should definitely get the genuine mikuni kit and rebuild the carbs with that or at the very least try using the mikuni diaphragm and see if it makes a difference. I hope this helps and report back with results

Damn, I’ll have to check I might not have gotten the carb kits from there but I will double check when I get home today Bc I have all the receipts and if I did, I will go your route and get everything new again... I hope it’s something simple, just wanna get this damn thing in the water.. but I’ll get back when I get home

Correct, the SBT kits are not genuine Mikuni and are junk. Get new kits and needle and seats that are genuine Mikuni.

Just odd for rebuilding and cleaning them that it won’t start just find it hard to believe it’s the components... I found this are they correct

Should I get a new needle and seat?

Yes that's the kit, some might suggest getting a new needle and seat but you might get away without it. I personally think the bad parts of the cheap kits are the diaphragms. If it isn't the biggest financial issue i would order new needles and seats to be safe, but if not you can try rebuilding them without it. I was lucky to not have to replace it, but if you still have issues rebuilding everything but that, then you have to pull the carb again to replace the needle and seat. It's a gamble on wether or not it will work

Yea I am going to get the needles and seats as well I have to check but I believe my needle is 1.5 I will have to check. See where I can find those I would rather do it right the first time... well second time then have to pull them again...

I would definitely agree and say that's the smart thing to do

Someone confirm how to tell genuine mikuni carb kits are genuine and where to get it to confirm it's genuine, I'm doing the RESTO on 97' GTX about to order this and don't want the issues.

I went on amazon look at my link.. above and it shows they come in the mikuni package also I recommend a pop off pressure tester makes it easier but I’ll be doing mine again
