Hey Guys I have a 95 GTX and need to Replace the (part diagram calls it) CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL ...... Where the driveshadt goes into the rear of the engine. How do I remove in and where can a buy a used one for my ski ?? The splines inside are stripped out
Thanks

The PTO is threaded on to the crank. SO... since your splines are torn out... you will have to use a big a$$ pipe wrench. You will also need to hold the engine. I like to put rope down into the spark plug hole, to hold the PTO piston. Don't do it in the MAG piston, as you may twist the driveshaft.

It's not going to be easy... so you need a BIG wrench, and you may need an extension to break it loose.

Thanks Doc
Would heating it help any or will it damage the seals ?

Heat will help... but since it's down in the hull... I would not try it. It could damage the seals, or you could melt something else. If your bilge is clean... it may not be rusted to the threads.

If you have the engine out... heat it up.
