Hey Tony, I know I dont see you on much anymore, but im hoping you get the emails that there is a new post. Do you have a cover? If so, does it fit with the bimini on? I recently bought and installed a universal bimini off ebay and also bought a Poppy cover. I like the bimini and the cover but the cover wont go on with the bimini mounted. I have heard the OEM style bimini will fit under a cover, so I am trying to confirm if the one JM Camper sells will work.

Thanks!!!

rfoster,

hey, i got the email.

fortunately i have been able to stay out of here and on the water for a while now! knocking on wood!....the speedster has been behaving well!

my oe cover fits just well with the bimini down. i was actually at my dads house getting some lifejackets out of it to go toobing down the river...and i was going to take a picture of it with the cover on it i dont have a picture of it with the cover and (i am thinking of letting go at the end of the summer).

if i get a chance ill post a picture of it...

If you could get a good picture of the bimini folded down, that would help me a lot. A pic from the side of the boat by the rear hatch would be good. I wanna see how far back it comes. Thanks...why you wanna get rid of it?

r foster.....pics with cover

rfoster here are the pics you wanted ....sorry took so long..

i am looking at geting a new old stock 2008 230 challenger....hopefully if i sell this one soon....

Thanks a ton. If you get a chance can you take a side pic just like the first one with the bimini down and the cover off. Thanks again.

I would love a new challenger 230 too. I saw a used 08 with low hours on Craigslist a few weeks ago for 29000. if i could have sold mine quick i would have bought it.

r foster....second pic kinda shows the bimini ....it is very low profile....stays low pretty much just like with the cover on it....

yep...those 230 are the bomb....i also looked at the 210 wake...which if i can convince the wife/bank....i might be able to pull it off....it was her idea in the first place to buy a boat, now i/we are hooked!

The first pic with it up helps. I just need to see where it sits when it is folded down. I am almost positive the Poppy cover will fit.

believe me , it still needs some work!
(if your talking bout the interior , it is because i had just washed it and was still a bit wet)
camera also makes wonders!
i also need to add another set of 6*9's
reinstall 12v socket source (used area to install voltmeter)
and fix starboard tach (works when it wants)

tony, how oyu going about install'n the voltmeter? I got one (new), buthave yet to install. Was for the 98 sportster 1800 i had, but sold it, so want to put on mine, just cant figure out best route, nor do i wanna hook power to it, thru a toggle...i'll forget, and end up drain'n my battery.

It is very simple. I have the same gauge. I used a 2 inch hole saw, cut the hole. Pop the gauge in. Tap the wires into the positive and ground on the lighter and you are done.

david, thanks for asking.....just like foster said hook up to 12v outlet wires...i used the hole for the 12v outlet as a guide and put it in the same place and the same wires because it will turn on and off when you turn the battery switch...simple as that....also you might want to move your 12 v plug underneath dash to have access to it if you need to use it for an air pump or whatever....good luck!

Yeah I put mine in the same spot and then just moved the lighter plug down.

karl , i am seriuosly in shock of the speed limit! i dont blame you for the radar detector.

I don't ever get caught...doing 50+...The patrol is cool here in most places till the snow birds show up after October. I think the speed limit is a Federal thing for all ICW's

You need to start your own thread and ask questions instead of just posting randomly in someone elses. It will get you a lot more answers.

Make sure the battery is actually load tested. Just because it is charged doesnt make it good. If it tests ok, then on to try other things. Take the spark plugs out and see if it cranks over.

I have a sea doo and I push the start button and I just hear a clicking sound? The battery is fully charged and only a year old.
