Well today was the fifth try , first time out it would barely get over 10 mph , changed plugs cleaned carbs , 15 mph second try , bought rebuild kit , rebuilt carbs added a second inline fuel filter , ran about 25 mph , came home pulled tank changed fuel lines , pulled carbs back down couldnt get the fuel selector to flow freely so i eliminated it and added a inline shutoff valve , tried it again a little better but the same , my dad adjusted the fuel pump to pump more fuel , went out today started bogging again ran for a few mins then all of a sudden it cleared its throat and came alive 50 mph , im gonna clean the check valves later on this week im having to run with the choke about a 1/4 out , does anyone have any advice to give about the proper way to clean them ?

low pressure air...they usually either work or dont though. you use a pop off tester to check them to see if they open at the right pressure.

I just saved a customer a 951 motor b/c of a check valve...I had the pipe off to reseal and I saw bubbles in the injector lines. I opened the bleeder screw and nothing came out. I then opened the oil tank and heard it suck a ton of air in. The check valve looked like a spider built a house in it. I blew high pressure air thru it and wrecked it.
