I bought a 08 gtx 155 from nationwide insurance. It went missing and they recovered it. Had already paid for new ski so they sold it to me for 2001$, anyway I thought It had just gotten water in it recently, and I checked the oil and no signs of water or anything bad. the oil was prefect. I decided to make sure everything was good with it and crack the pto cover to flush the entire oil system. Anyway Mud and some water came out with the oil. I think this thing must have been under for a while or something and it must have sat for the oil to separate and the mud to settle in the bottom. I took everything off of the motor and opened the valve cover. The valves look good on that side and only a little rust on the cam chain. I think I still got a good buy because everything else seems to be good. should I just break it all down and rebuild. Or should I find a used motor. You think that SBT would be interested in it??? What should I do with it. I am open to Ideas. If it is worth it I will do the rebuild but I know it is going to need new parts and I dont have any way to soak this stuff.

Seadoo gods I need your advice. it looks as though no water or dirt got into the crank. the oil was a little dirty but it was all oil. there is no pitting on the cyls or anywhere else. I am thinking of going out and buying a parts washer at harbor freight, filling it with diesel and giving this thing a good cleaning but reusing everything (I mean everything except gaskets). What do You think. Take a look at the pics and let me know. The pics show it accurately too.

I don't have much experience in building a 4tec yet (thank god for that), but I can tell you I've put together car engines that looked worse years back that still run to this day. I know that comparing apples to oranges but still. My only concern would be that timing chain. While you have it disassembled get it cleaned real good or replace it.

I figured I will find someone with a sonic cleaner, see how it is afterr that and then decide. the chain is still very lubed. it just looked like moisture dew surface rust. but I will probably replace it. Does anyone know anybody in eastern NC with a sonic parts cleaner??? I would be willing to pay for use or if the price was right just buy one. I dont think that using a pump soak kind will get me a clean as I want.
