i have a mpem programmer for sale if anyone needs one. upon start up it list the 3.3 version and then goes to "error code 1" and the and shuts off. i do have he password for it and the cables.

Hard sell....
This will probably be a hard sell. Though I'd love to have one myself, you've stated that this one is in error and shuts down.
The other problem is, you've only got one post. For someone to pay a hefty price for one of these, they could potentially lose a lot of money.
I do not support the resale of the programmers for a couple reasons. Unless your a certified BRP mechanic, your not suppose to have it. Which means, you'll likely run into problems when it comes time to upgrade the program. There is no way you can get support for it without being certified. I dont' recommend this purchase.
You might have good intentions but in the last few years, people have kinda gotten the shaft when dealing with members on the forum. That's why our administrators have come up with the "itrader".
