MPEM alternative

Does anyone make/sell an alternative to Seadoo's M.P.E.M. system. for the 787cc 2-stroke motor? ie a simple CDI/stator ignition system?

Hoping that someone may have already tried this???

the only one I know of is the MSD enhancer, but its more expensive than just buying a used MPEM.

I think its funny...I've had DESS machines for over 8 years and have yet to run into a bad one other than bad pins on a 97 XP and one bad 92 SP.

Thanks, is that a direct replacement for the MPEM? as i was hoping to rip out the whole wiring harness and start again with a far simpler, less complicated wiring system (starter/charge + ignition map) would convert the dess post to just a continuity safety lanyard as fitted to some yamaha's.

Someone else that has done it will chime in I'm sure. Just a matter of hooking up wires and allows you FULL adjust-ability of the Timing curve.
