im running out of 2 stroke oil and im going out today for a little bit and dont want to run dry ... i use bombardier rotax 2 stroke oil in the big white jug ... if i run to my local store and they dont carry that can i get a different 2 stroke oil and mix them in the oil tank ?

I wouldn't do it.

Not all 2-stroke oils mix... and it'a not worth loosing an engine.

With that said... if you want to take a chance... look for a API-TC Miniral oil. DO NOT MIX IN A TC-W3!

So the only other option would be to pull the tank out and drain it

You don't have to pull the tank out. You can just disconnect the line and drain it into a bottle. To drain the oil from the lower end, some peole suck it out with a shop vac, some blow thru the return line and blow it out. Personally I bought a pump for $20 and stuck the hose to the pump down the return line from the bottom end and just pumped the oil out, then stuck the pump hose down the feed line to get any residual oil. I also blew thru the return line at that point to force any oil toward the feed line. Alot less messy that way.

I hear alot of people saying dont use synthetic on an older ski use mineral oil types when I first got my ski a few months ago it was running synthetic would it be worth me time to switch over to mineral ?

Asking what kind of oil to use is kinda like asking what your favorite food is or who the hottest actress of all time is. :) Everbody has their own opinion and swears by what they use. Personally I have a '96 and '97 and use Amsoil Interceptor syntetic. But the Doc has seen the inside of a helluva lot of engines so you can't go wrong by heeding his advice.
