Guys,

As you know. I sold my Utopia 205 to Zach. My reasoning was that the Utopia would not fit in the garage so it had to stay at a local storage facility. I also wanted something a little more suited to watersports since that's what we're using the boat for primarily.

I set out to buy a Challenger 180 with wake tower. It would fit in the garage, offer good watersports ability and without the huge sunpad on the Utopia it would be easier to get to and from the swim platform.

While I got distracted a couple of times, Friday I brought home the Challenger 180 SE with wake tower and today I finally got the garage re-configured to take the boat AND Veracruz(See below)

Mission Accomplished!!

Now that's what every garage should look like.:) Might want to hang the bikes and such in a different spot though. You don't want to have to empty the garage every time you pull the boat in and out.

Bike

Aaron, The bike does hang(good observation I must admit) but its not in the way. Once the Veracruz is pulled out we simply roll the trailer tongue to the right then roll it right on out of the garage.

Two things need mentioning. One, This rig fits without the tongue being folded(YES!) and take notice of the tongue jack. The original owner replaced the cheezy factory one with this really nice Fulton unit with mega wheel. Makes rolling it around a breeze and the jack is rated for a cruise liner :-)

how come you dont have an american made car parked next to YOUR boat in YOUR garage. didnt you no that YOUR car companies are still relying on you to support them through YOUR government and tax paying dollars?

just razzin ya. cuz i bleed red white and blue. and BRP is canadian. how ironic.

Hyundai

Mike,

I have a Dodge Grand caravan in the driveway that I drive for work. There arent too many american cars than can match the quality and refinement of the Lexus-like Veracruz. I will say however that I like the Ford Edge.

I would never buy a Government Motors car however.

We need a post pictures of your boat in your garage thread!!! Craig, you gotta to start that.

With regard to the Fulton...is that the F2 unit with the 8" wheel? I use mine quite a bit and it is the generic karavan model. Have anyone used the dual 7" wheels? Trying to decided whether it is worth it with either one to replace once I wear my tongue jack out.

Lastly...I understand fully about buying American. Keep in mind that many of the cars made today by foreign manufacturers are built here in the states by Americans. Even the so call American cars are made with parts made all over the world. It's a global economy...even BRP boats are made here in the states..:patriot:

Tongue jack

Jim,

Sorry so late getting back to you...The upgraded tongue jack is the Fulton XP15. Its rated for like 1500 pounds....Considering the tongue weight is like 200 pounds you can understand why its way overkill but man it rolls around effortlessly!!

I'm not understanding the need for the jack. The wheel is bigger? I've never even thought about changing out the jack on my boat, it really rolls around easily even on gravel. I guess if it came with it for free then great! Doubt its worth the money over the factory unit though.

Robert,

I never saw the factory unit as the boat came with the upgraded unit. The original owner replaced it because the one that came on this trailer was poor quality according to him. Mind you this guy was a Nasa engineer consultant. I can say in comparing it to the jack that was on my Utopia, its way better. Jacks up effortlessly and rolls around like nobodies business. Glad he added it.

I need to order one of these. My jacks sucks bad. The wheel looks like someone drug it on a gravel road for 10 miles. It is hard to even roll in my driveway. Guess this will be the replacement. Thanks for adding the link.
