Lubing the wheels on the trailer

Just got a double trailer. Does anybody have a DIY on how to check and maintain the lubrication on those bearings, etc.

Install bearing buddies and hit them with the grease gun every few trips out. Google them on the net and you will see a good video on them.

Thanks. I will look it up. Do you know what the torque should be for the wheel (lug nuts)?

I usually just do it by hand without a torque wrench, but here is a good guide.

Wheel torque

Steel wheels are 60 foot pound
Alloy wheels are 55 foot pound
I really don't know why the diff.30 years of asking and not 1 reason why.
Must be a government thing

Good to know. Btw, its a Zieman double trailer 2003. I think its 13" if it matters
