Low comp in cyl 1 cause?

Hi i bought a 2009 gti 155 se and compression test came in at cyl 1 145 . Cyl 2 160. Cyl 3 160 . What can cause this drop in compression and how long do you guys think i have till the engine gives up ? Thanks in advance

Did you add a small amount of oil and repeat the test to check if the readings altered?

Your within 10% between cylinders, I wouldn't be too alarmed. A leak down test will identify where the leak is.

3 times at wot they read 5 psi diff
