Lost key

I lost my key for my seadoo xp do i have to take the ignition off and take it to a dealer or buy a new one???? I would like to winterize it soon

You haven't told us what year or model you seadoo is. You should list year and model for this question and future ones.
If it is say 1996 or newer it has a DESS lanyard and needs to be taken to the dealer to have a new lanyard programmed to the seadoo. It has a rom,(Read Only Chip) that is programed to work only with your seadoo.
