Lost 10 MPH of top speed w/ no change in RPM?

I've got a 2001 utopia 185 w/ 240EFI. At WOT I usually get about 55MPH. Recently, and all of a sudden, My top speed is only ~40-45MPH.

The RPM's are well over 6200, so something seams to be "slipping". There are no obstructions or debrie about the Impeller.

Any Ideas?

The spedo sensor might have crud or fish line on it. If it isn't spinning as fast as it should it will show a slower speed.

check your wear ring tolerance - something that isnt in there anymore may have chewed some out and it will definitely cut your top speed with no change in rpm's

What kind of money are we talking for a dealer to replace a wear ring on a jet boat, and what can you save if you replace it yourself? Is it a common DIY?

Yes, you could DIY. Usually if the wear ring is worn out it will have top rpm's but also show signs of cavitation under hard acceleration from a dead stop. Repair shops can charge 3-$400.00 to repair it. Here is a link that might help you out.
