loose throttle leavers

I had my 98 Speedster out a couple times this year and have noticed that the two throttle leavers seem to slip back slightly over time causing the boat slowly drop in speed.
Is it possible to tighten thses leavers up a bit? I've checked my shop manual and can't seem to find anything.

remove the white "shell", ofthe lever assy, you'll see a "black" flathead screw, right there, on the side, that will "tighten" the right throttle lever, then proceed to remove the 4-panhead/allen bolts, that secure the lever assy to the hull. Once removed, lift up about 3-5 inches to expose the entire control unit. There, on same side(right side), right in the middle, you'll see a "chrome" phillips head screw, tighten that up slightly, which will create "drag" on the left/center throttle assy.
