looking to buy 1st sea doo. what to look for?

im looking to buy my first seadoo to use at my cabin. i used my friends seadoo many times and now i must get one for this season. im woundering what i should be looking for and how i can tell if its running good.

i want to spend around $3000-5000 can and powerful enough to pull a wake boarder.

Based on what I have seen these go for, yes.

to me isnt that like a 7k ski? anyways don't get taken for a ride like I did 2 weeks ago, I got ripped off because I didnt know what to look for in a ski, make sure it was well taken care of, these things cost alot to repair to the point mine is costing me more then I traded for.

actually the best thing to do is test drive it for about an hour I was told after the fact, and check for any corrosion. compression test, just a really good look over, you can also try to move the motor and check the mounts, check the impeller and wear ring. in general a clean ski sometimes will tell how well they took care of it.
