Hi, this will be my first PWC. I am about ready to buy a 2005 Seadoo GTX Supercharged and wanted to see what everybody thought.

It flashed maintenance on start up and after looking on the forum it looks like it is hour based and a reminder to do the preventive maintenance. Is this correct?

I did a lake test and it seemed to be running good.

I am scheduled to have a pre buy inspection preformed on it tomorrow. Besides the ceramic clutch problems in the supercharger, has anyone experienced any recurring problems with this model?

They are asking $4500 but they alluded that they would accept $4000, is this a decent price if the pre buy comes back clean? It has 76 hours and comes with a trailer, cover and 3 life vests.

Kelly Blue Book only has a value for the GTX Limited for 2005. I have no idea what retail value is.

Thanks,

Schwimm

Sounds like a pretty decent price, but as soon as you get it, I'd highly recommend a supercharger rebuild.

They should be rebuilt every 100 hours and at 76 on a used boat it's best to just do it off the bat.

Do a search on "supercharger washers" on here and you'll see exactly why.
