I have a 98 Speedster with the 787's. We GPS'd it around 50mph. I would like to get at least 55 out of it. What performance parts can achieve this?

Different pitch impeller, intake grate, after market pipes, aftermarket arrestor, and that may get you a cuple more MPH but I dont know about 55. Its probly not worth the money to start moding a older motor. Remember that once you starte removing stock parts and adding after market, your motor will not last as long.

i have two 96 gsx an a 97 spx an gpsed them both at 59 .and as far as i can tell they are both stock .i am far from a pro at these things but both mind have the 787 motor too .seems like you should be getting more mph out of them .

Speed...?

Yes, I agree... You should get a few more MPH out of them.

The stock 787cc running in the XP or other sport model, should get just over 60 to the mids...

I have the 97 GTX, which is the 3 seater, that runs the 787cc. In my info center, I've got a peak speed set at 64 mph. I have never gps'd it. I had just compounded and waxed my hull.

How tight your impeller to wearing ring is and not getting in any air from your carbon seal is paramount in getting top speeds.......
