Hi all, I'm new to this site, and new PWC's. I have a 2003 SeaDoo LRV DI that goes into Limp Mode, and Maint. light comes on at the same time. I took it to my local dealer and no codes came up when scanned, Kind of got the impression that they should not be related. but both come on at the same time. It only has about 53 hours. does anyone might know why I get a Limp Mode with no codes?

Any sensor can trigger Limp mode. Check your Engine Management manual. The Deals computer would have read it if a sensor. Did they reset the TPS to Zero? 50 hour service notice can be reset by pressing set & mode described in your booklet. DI's eat rectifiers, I suggest you replace that. DO not operate the ski in Limp as engine damage will occur, thats for an Emergency to get you to safety. Tow it, instead of
rideing it back to launch. Clean the CPS of any particles attached.

I also should add the when it goes into Limp Mode i shut it off and remove the DESS key, put it back on and start it back up, runs fine for maybe 5 mins. or could be 1/2 hour, maybe all day, some days it doesn't do it at all.

I don't hear any buzzer, probably not working, wouldn't I get a message that its overheating, instead of maint. and limp mode. What would cause it to overheat.
