I hooked my boat up to the waterhose and noticed water bubbling out of the area in the picture. I would assume I need to replace the gasket but is there anything else there when I take it apart that I'll have to replace? Also is it a hard job. I have the shop manual but if someone would like to beak it down for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

undo the 3-bolts and 1 nut securing pipe to manifold. Then remove the bolt from the hanger bracket. Next at the "stinger" of the pipe, and right where the pipe bends straight, theres a allen bolt each at those areas....remove all so yuo can slide the pipe forward to remove the gasket, install new or run bead of gasket maker on both sides of gasket, let set up, then rebolt everything...

Thanks. I have another question for you. I found this in the bottom of the hull. Any idea what it goes too?

looks like the grommet assy for the "hanger" bracket, from the motor to side of pipe, at the bend...look directly down on motor between the front cylinder and pipe, thats where this "bracket" would mount to.

no, but from the look of the pic in the first post, the "washer" your holding looks like its not from the "pipe" bracket, but maybe from the secure mounts, that are on the straight part of pipe, bolting below the cylinder/s.

I plan on fixing the bubbling of the pipe that I'm having but I was wandering if I can still take it out before I do. Or does it need to be done asap.
