Leak In Sea Doo, bottom full after 30 mins

Yea, I will pick them up tomrrow and install them and check back in.

I really hope I didnt mess anything up with the hose thing... I turned the ski on while I was out there, still turned over and started.

Ok, so I called 2 places, one said they dont have the tubes aftermarket, and then I called the local "dealer". they just sell alot of new sea doos on stuff, they said they could see the part I needed on the pic, but they didnt have a part number for it. The best I can do is get it out and bring it in and them match it up....

My question now is how do I get them out >_< I took the steering off, and they are pretty tight in there...

I'm not an expert on this kind of minutiae and others will have perhaps a better solution but they are just plastic. I
personally would try matching or slightly undersizing a drill bit and carefully drilling them out. At some point they should
come off or you might be then able to use a screwdriver to carefully twist them out.

As far as replacement goes the part number I see is 271001133 - $5.99 each and you need the 2 obviously.

Keep that link handy or download the parts manual for your machine so you can reference it in the future.

And as far as the dealer goes.....that's one bad dealer if they can't even look up a basic part. :cuss:

Yea, they said they could see it, but they couldnt click it or had a number???? That I had to get em out, and bring em in to match them up...

Phone and give them that number I posted. That's the part number. They will likely have to order them.

Besides, by the time you get through with them, there will likely be nothing left!

What ski is this? The 787 powered skis tend to corrode the weld plugs in the exhaust pipe and piss water into the hull.

Ya, they didnt even have the jet pump cone.. I had to get it from an after market parts dealer who doesnt have these. They are just liscenced to sea doo or something, not a dealer.

So again, I called them and they said they dont have that part number but are sure they have one and to bring one in... Anyone have any other suggestions to getting em out without destroying them which im pretty sure ill do aswell

i imagine you've probably already found the solution. this might sounds dumb but it happened to me once. you might check and make sure the intake grate is still on mine came off and the 2 threads caused it to take on more water than it souldve(not in 30 minutes though) but it maybe something to check.

Without destroying them?? They have to be replaced entirely. The broken ones cannot be re-used at all. What you need to
be careful of is the casing that holds the tubes. If the dealer needs to see one to compare...I'm just a little speechless - especially
when they should have a parts diagram. If they don't I don't know what to say at all....other than as far as that dealer goes, I'm sorry to say they sound totally well...incompetent for a Seadoo dealer of any kind.

I would suggest you go online (google that part number I gave you) and buy the 2 tubes and be done with it. Leave the "dealer" out of the equation as it seems apparent they are not familiar at all with the parts/repairs aspect.

i tried jamming a screw driver in there, but they are pretty stuck in place.. i dont have a drill on me, anyone have any other ideas? lube it up or something? I can try and borrow a friends last case scenario, im going to my buddies cottage on friday so I need to get these in ASAP, so that HOPEFULLY, all my problems go away and it works and i dont sink

try finding a punch or drift that fits inside the larger hole, but not through the tubes and drive them out that way. they need to stick out a bit into the jet stream so that the flow goes around the end of the tube and pulls suction.

what do you mean? im trynba get at them from this side, i put a screw sdriver in tightened it up, and and tryna yank it out but not budging... you saying go from the top side? i can see the siphons tubes bigger part right at the bottom of the steering close to being out already. just currently stuck...

i cant really go at it from the other side because it goes in, then slants down to what you see in this pic

Lube will never get them out. Other than the punch idea or drill, maybe a very narrow flathead good quality screwdriver and GENTLY tap
one edge and hopefully you will eventually get through one side entirely and create a gap in the tube and then maybe you
could gently twist up one side of the gab in the plastic tube?

looks like wear ring is about ready to be changed, at least from the picture anyways .040 is max clearance between wear ring and impeller blades

great. I just put a brand new one in. took it out twice so far and theres already a gash in it

Have you checked the VTS boot? Mine tore and water leaked in through the VTS box. Quick and easy to figure out, and probably isn't your issue but something worth checking.

also, i got out the siphons, but when i try and put em back in, i get nowhere remotely close to getting them in.... used an old piece of metal with a flat end to try and bash it in, but it didnt go at all... anyone have tips to getting t back in? i seen someone said a hammer and apiece of wood??

Hammer and wood is what I did last week. Got it in no problem
