ok so im at my witts end now with my 97 gtx paid another tech 500 pounds to repair the ski ( differcult starting ) and took it out tonight for the first time and it went ok but topped out at 40mph where as before it would reach 49mph (same sea conditions ) and not as fast on the take off, i did a spin and now it wont go above 5 mph even though the revs are going all the way up to 7000rpm !
list of new parts to date
new battery
new starter (oem)
new carbs fully rebuilt (twice)
replaced all the fuel lines
new solas concord impeller
new wear ring
new rotary valve
new valve cover as old one cracked
engine has been removed to drain fuel out of block (this sound like bullsh1t to me )
there cant be much more to replace, any ideas? i was thinking pump but with new wear ring and impeller is this possible ?
